The National Restaurant Show, held in Chicago, is the largest gathering of restaurant and foodservice professionals. Every year it showcases everything from equipment and supplies, to food and beverage, to technology. We’re thrilled we had the opportunity to attend May 18-21 for its centennial year not only as exhibitors, but as the sole hospitality staffing provider in attendance. Although there were many, here are four reasons we enjoyed the show.

Reaching a vast audience

At the National Restaurant Show, professionals from all around the country are there as attendees and exhibitors. One of the most exciting parts of the show was connecting with this audience about their needs and goals, and how LGC could help meet them.

The launch of LGC Now

Recently we launched LGC Now, a staffing management tool helping propel us into the gig economy through worker engagement and redeployment. We valued the ability to show our product to different companies and teach them how our tool could improve their operations and bring them into the future of work.

For more information on LGC Now, read the press release.

Attending relevant sessions

Sessions, samples, and seminars, oh my! We attended some great speaking engagements by knowledgeable professionals that not only shared relevant industry information, but also gave us some new ideas.

Meeting up in The Second City

LGC is headquartered in Indianapolis and has 33 locations around the country, so we always look forward to the opportunity to get together, especially in a great city like Chicago. Also, it was pretty cool to visit McCormick Place, also known as the largest convention center in the U.S.
