We are so excited to announce that LGC is hosting a month-long food drive! Throughout the entirety of August, we will be accepting donations to be delivered at food banks in our local communities on September 1, National Food Bank Day.
LGC Kicks Off Month-Long Food Drive
LGC has more than 40 brick and mortar offices which means we’re a part of more than 40 incredible communities across the country. Each office will be collecting donations from August 1st to August 31st, giving us plenty of time to collect as many donations as possible.
In 2022, almost 50 million people turned to community programs like (food banks) because of food insecurity. This is an opportunity to give back to those programs and the local communities that have been such a huge part of LGC for two decades. Internal employees, clients, our workforce – whoever wants to donate can – and we encourage everyone to take part.
According to Feeding America, “Food banks accept dry and canned food donations…Basically, any food that is “shelf-stable” or nonperishable – you can keep it in your pantry and it won’t go bad. And remember, only donate food that hasn’t reached its “sell-by” date yet.” Some of the items you can donate to our food drive include:
- Baby food
- Canned beans
- Canned fruit
- Canned meat (fish, chicken, ham, etc.)
- Canned soup
- Canned stew
- Canned vegetables
- Peanut butter
- Pasta sauce
Swing by during business hours during the month of August for our food drive and help support the communities that make our country so great. Contact us today to find your closest LGC office.
