This week&#8217;s topic: projected restaurant industry growth*.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Projected Restaurant Industry Growth* (Pre-Covid): Huge growth expected by 2029<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wafb.com\/2019\/04\/08\/national-restaurant-industry-projected-add-m-jobs-by-report-says\/\">recent report<\/a> by the National Restaurant association,\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by 2029 the restaurant industry is expected to add 1.6 million jobs and bring in $863 billion.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0That rounds out to 160,000 new jobs and $86.3 billion of revenue per year. We can all agree that the addition of jobs and revenue is great for the industry, but with unemployment\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">currently\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">at 3.6%, this rise in jobs begs the question: where will we get the workers from?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It\u2019s no secret that hiring in the restaurant industry can be a\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lgcassociates.com\/es\/projected-restaurant-industry-growth\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">costly<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and time-consuming challenge,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with\u00a0staffing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0often chosen as one of the biggest operational pain points. Combined with the fact that it can take weeks to find and hire a great candidate, many foodservice and hospitality managers are looking to other options to help grow their teams.
