Are you one of the millions of Americans looking for\u00a0<\/span>a new job this year? According to a study by the American Staffing Association,\u00a0<\/span>half (<\/span>48%<\/span><\/a>) of employed adults a<\/span>re likely to\u00a0<\/span>find a new place\u00a0<\/span>of employment in 2020<\/span>, with almost 40% g<\/span>oing as far as to find a\u00a0<\/span>different\u00a0<\/span>career completely.\u00a0<\/span>With an estimated 6 million\u00a0<\/span>job openings last year,\u00a0<\/span>job seekers\u00a0<\/span>should feel like they have options when it comes to securing\u00a0<\/span>employment.<\/span><\/p>\n Despite the\u00a0<\/span>job\u00a0<\/span>market saturation\u00a0<\/span>and candidate\u00a0<\/span>interest, getting a job isn\u2019t as easy as \u2018apply and get hired.\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Finding a position that meets your needs and interests is a\u00a0<\/span>challenge in itself<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Though it\u2019s worth casting a wide net when filling out applications, it\u2019s still important to only invest your time in positions you could actually see yourself working.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n With record low unemployment, businesses are hungry for great candidates to fill their open positions. Despite that fact,\u00a0<\/span>some job postings<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>(I.e. corporate postings) can receive 250 resumes\u00a0<\/span>from applicants. Standing out amongst the crowd can be difficult,\u00a0<\/span>but to land that\u00a0<\/span>ideal\u00a0<\/span>job, it\u2019s a requirement.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n LGC has been operating in the recruitment and staffing space for almost 20 years. If you instituted a policy that increased revenue by 3% or eliminated a practice that was costing your employer\u00a0<\/span><\/i>money,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0then put it on your resume! Most hiring managers look at tons of resumes every day when they are searching for their next hire. Find out everything you can about the company’s history as well as their culture.\u00a0 Memorize some facts about the company that you can bring up during the interview and apply your experience to what the company is all about. If you can find out some professional information on the person you will be interviewing with you get extra bonus points!\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Name:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Ross\u00a0<\/span> \u201cDress professionally. This may seem like basic advice for job seekers, but makes a big difference. When people come in in sweatpants and a plain t-shirt, it sends a bad message.
