While this is a step towards finding some of the normalcy we\u2019ve been missing \u2013 not to mention a necessary economic increase \u2013 it\u2019s more important than ever to maintain the health standards that have been put in place in order to decrease <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajmc.com\/view\/a-timeline-of-covid19-developments-in-2020\">new<\/a> COVID-19 cases.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While navigating our new normal, managers and employees are deciding how to continue providing a great guest experience while still prioritizing their safety. One way to do that is through creating personable interactions between employees and customers. But with masks and other physical barriers like plexiglass guards, forming that connection can be feel challenging \u2013\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">so we put together a couple\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tips<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for when you head back to work to better connect with guests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Use different expressions<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">For hospitality professionals especially, smiling is ke<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">y\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">guests\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">feel welcomed and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">how you<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">r personality. Because employees are currently required to wear masks,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it&#8217;s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0made this aspect of the job difficult.
