While we all continue to navigate the coronavirus, it\u2019s a good time to evaluate your current leadership team\u00a0<\/span>to see if you\u2019re lacking in any areas<\/span>, while also\u00a0<\/span>recognizing\u00a0<\/span>new leaders on your internal teams.\u00a0<\/span>In this post, we\u2019ll be covering a couple ways to\u00a0<\/span>identify possible new leaders to help make your team as strong as possible including common leadership styles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Think about the past several months during the pandemic;\u00a0who on your team has stepped up\u00a0<\/span>regarding<\/span>\u00a0communication, revenue-building\u00a0<\/span>activities<\/span>, or\u00a0<\/span>creative<\/span>\u00a0problem solving? Is there anyone you feel\u00a0has excelled during this time of\u00a0<\/span>uncertainty? Who has been a good representation\u00a0<\/span>of your company\u2019s goals\u00a0and mission this year? These are all questions you can ask yourself to start\u00a0<\/span>finding the right people to join your leadership team.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve chosen possible new leaders, it\u2019s important to think about what sort of leadership style they fall into.\u00a0<\/span>According to\u00a0<\/span>Indeed,\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>here are<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>10 common leadership styles:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10 Common Leadership Styles to Help Identify New Hospitality Leaders<\/strong><\/h5>\n

  1. Coach<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>A coaching leader is someone who can quickly recognize their team members\u2019 strengths, weaknesses and motivations to help\u00a0<\/span>each individual<\/span>\u00a0improve.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Visionary<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0Visionary leaders have a powerful ability to drive progress and usher in periods of change by inspiring employees and earning trust for new ideas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Servant<\/span><\/b>. Servant leaders live by a people-first mindset and believe that when team members feel personally and professionally fulfilled, they\u2019re more effective and more likely to produce great work regularly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Autocratic<\/span><\/b>. Also called the authoritarian style of leadership, this type of leader\u00a0<\/span>is someone who is<\/span>\u00a0focused almost entirely on results and efficiency.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Laissez-faire or hands-off.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0This leadership style is the opposite of the autocratic leadership type, focusing mostly on delegating many tasks to team members and providing little to no supervision<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
