data-contrast=\"auto\">For these reasons, many anticipate an uptick in cases\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">as the weather drops.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">restaurants began opening several weeks ago, one contingency they hung on was that it was safer to serve guests on an outdoor patio as opposed to indoors, where COVID can be spr<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ead more easily.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While most states have\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">opened<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0indoor dining in some capacity,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aarp.org\/politics-society\/government-elections\/info-2020\/coronavirus-state-restrictions.html\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">places<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0like California and New York\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are still restricted to outdoor dining.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">With this considered, here&#8217;s what restaurants should expect from <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">second half\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">of going through now<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If we see a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0huge<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0increase in new cases throughout fall and winter, it\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">possible\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that bars and restaurants will be\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">placed on another lockdown<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, forcing them to shut their doors and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\/or<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lay off staff.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">need for PPE<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Because of the prominence of flu season during the winter months, more people may be experiencing symptoms\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">similar to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0COVID like cough, fever, or sore throat.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In order to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">maintain the health and safety of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">your guests and staff, it\u2019s important to continue enforcing PPE requirements<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, especially since \u201c64% of diners say staff wearing PPE is most important when eating out\u201d according to a recent
