Client Information and Job Description:

The client is a well-known American restaurant and bakery chain with a strong focus on providing a wide range of fresh and wholesome food options. They have built their reputation on offering customers a casual dining experience that combines convenience with quality.

As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our clients’ well-known cafe. You will be responsible for leading a team of passionate individuals, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, and overseeing all aspects of cafe management. Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of baristas, kitchen staff, and front-of-house employees. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where team members are motivated to deliver exceptional service.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all cafe operations, including inventory management, food and beverage quality control, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Experience: Uphold our commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Interact with customers, address concerns, and maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.
  • Financial Management: Manage the cafe’s budget, expenses, and profitability. Implement cost control measures, monitor sales, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial goals.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop cafe staff. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Encourage team members to grow and excel in their roles.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update the cafe’s menu, ensuring it meets customer preferences and aligns with industry trends.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Work with marketing teams to develop and execute local marketing initiatives, community engagement, and promotional events to drive customer traffic and brand recognition.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on cafe performance, including sales, expenses, and customer feedback. Use data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
