Our prestigious country club is seeking an experienced Director of Catering to oversee and manage our catering operations. The Director of Catering will be responsible for leading a team of catering professionals to provide exceptional service to our members and guests for events ranging from intimate dinners to large-scale banquets. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of success in managing a catering team and delivering high-quality events.

Responsibilities:

•  Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including staffing, menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
• Manage a team of catering professionals to ensure a high level of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless coordination of food and beverage service.
• Create and manage catering budgets, and ensure that events are profitable.
• Manage the sales process for catering events, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing business.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling practices.
• Continuously improve catering operations by identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering or event management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Country Club background strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Experience managing budgets and creating financial reports.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Knowledge of food and beverage trends, catering industry best practices, and event planning.
