Staying Ahead of the Curve: How EnviroStaff Elevates Environmental Staffing

The environmental industry is evolving rapidly, with new regulations and technologies constantly reshaping the landscape. At EnviroStaff, we are committed to staying ahead of these changes to ensure our clients and candidates thrive in this dynamic environment. Our team of experienced recruiters specialize in sourcing future leaders for environmental laboratories, consulting firms, manufacturers, and companies focused on environmental instruments and equipment. As a division of LGC, it is crucial for us to remain informed about industry trends to deliver successful results for both our clients and candidates.

Recently, EnviroStaff had the privilege of attending the EnviroWorkshops, the world’s largest training series for environmental professionals, held in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC. We sponsor and attend eight of these workshops annually to stay up-to-date with the latest regulations, sampling methodologies, and remediation technologies shaping the industry.

Each workshop hones in on a specific topic, and this time, the focus was on PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). During these sessions, we gained valuable insights into emerging EPA and state regulations, cutting-edge sampling equipment for PFAS, innovative testing methods, and effective remediation strategies to tackle contamination.

The experience was made even more impactful by presentations from respected industry professionals such as Frannie Nilson, Jack Christmas, John Sohl, and Jim Young. Our key takeaways from these sessions included:

  • The EPA and several states are establishing new limits on PFAS concentrations in drinking water, soil, and air.
  • Advanced testing methods and innovative technologies are being developed and approved to better investigate, contain, and dispose of these compounds.

These insights not only deepen our expertise but also enhance our ability to fill critical roles like Lab Operations Managers, PFAS Analysts, Environmental Scientists, Geologists, and Engineers. By staying at the forefront of industry developments, we can identify and present the best candidates to our client firms. This knowledge allows us to make strategic placements that align with the career growth of our candidates and the evolving needs of our clients.

To connect with attendees and presenters, EnviroStaff also sets up an information booth at each event, showcasing our executive recruiting and temporary staffing services available nationwide. As a fun addition, we handed out branded swag like pens, lunch bags, and mini trash cans, which were a hit with participants. We have also been the workshop lanyard sponsor for the past 2 years, allowing us to expand our reach and show our commitment to these training sessions.

Attending the EnviroWorkshops is always an invaluable experience for our team. We are excited to incorporate the knowledge we gained into our recruitment strategies, further enhancing the quality of service we provide to both our candidates and clients. Whether you’re a professional looking to advance your career or a company seeking top environmental talent, EnviroStaff is here to support you with expert industry insight and unmatched staffing solutions.
