Job Description

Position Overview:
The BOH Manager is a key leadership role focused on maintaining high standards in a dynamic, full-service, upscale casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will embody the company’s values and philosophy, operating with an owner mindset. This position will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality food production, and profitability, while simultaneously developing and motivating staff. Candidates must be willing to be cross-trained in both Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) environments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily operations align with company values, operating philosophy, and strategic goals.
  • Lead kitchen teams to consistently deliver high-quality culinary experiences, adhering strictly to recipes and scratch kitchen standards.
  • Drive financial performance by actively managing food costs, labor, and other controllable expenses.
  • Collaborate closely with Directors of Operations and Area Directors to develop action plans for improving overall financial controls.
  • Foster an environment centered around guest satisfaction, community involvement, and positive internal team dynamics.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of safety, security, cleanliness, and responsible business practices.
  • Proactively engage in team training, mentoring, and performance management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of management experience within a high-volume, scratch kitchen, casual dining setting.
  • Proven experience managing culinary specifications and kitchen systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of career stability and consistent upward progression.
  • Strong knowledge of P&L management and financial goal attainment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and delegation skills.
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with team members and foster a positive work environment.
  • Passion for training, coaching, and team development.
