In just a few short days, we’ll be heading to Chicago for the 2022 Restaurant Show hosted by the National Restaurant Association!
The 2022 Restaurant Show, which goes from Saturday, May 21 – Tuesday, May 24, is held at McCormick Place Convention Center right off Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago. According to their website, here’s what the National Restaurant Association Show aims to accomplish:
“From expert-led sessions unpacking new industry challenges and opportunities to industry-leading products and solutions for growth, the 2022 Restaurant Show will help you find what you need to navigate today’s new business realities.”
Overall, the show promises to be a great experience for the attendees, and we can’t wait for it to kick off this weekend. Though there’s a lot to look forward to, here are the top 5 things we’re most excited about:

It’s the first show since before the pandemic
The 2022 Restaurant Show is an annual event, but this is the first time it’s been held since 2019 due to the pandemic. It’ll be great to get all the industry leaders together in one place to catch up and connect.
Not only that, but this will be the first opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by the restaurant industry in the last couple of years. Since this is our first show back, we know it’ll be bigger and better than years before.
Checking out the keynote speaker
This year’s keynote speaker may be someone you’re familiar with. He co-founded a little website you might have heard of – Reddit. Alexis Ohanian will be there Saturday for a discussion “as he sheds new light on how creating and embracing disruption can amplify growth and produce positive transformations.”
Enjoying the food + beverage demonstrations
Some of the most prominent masters of their craft will be at the show to…well…show off their skills. We can’t wait to check out the food and drink demos and learn about the upcoming trends ready to hit our menus.
Meeting up for a little fun
There are two scheduled events for attendees to get together and let loose a little. And what better place to do that than one of the most beautiful cities in the country? You can check out the evening event schedule for more information but we know we’re looking forward to the opportunity to network in a more casual way.

Because of the pandemic, the restaurant industry has been facing its biggest challenges to date over the last couple of years. Our community needs us now more than ever. By getting this huge group of industry leaders and influencers in one place, we can work together to better improve restaurant recovery around the country.
