Job Description:

As a Dishwasher employed by LGC, you are an essential part of our kitchen brigade. Your role is crucial in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that our culinary team has the tools they need to deliver outstanding meals to our guests. You will work behind the scenes, but your contribution is integral to the restaurant’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing: Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to efficiently and thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Utensil Sorting: Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils, ensuring they are organized and readily available for the kitchen staff.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed.
  • Assist Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen team by ensuring they have a steady supply of clean cookware and utensils during busy periods.
  • Trash Removal: Dispose of kitchen garbage and recycling properly, following sanitation and recycling guidelines.
  • Stock Management: Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies, such as cleaning agents and disposable items.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including the proper handling of chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
