When LGC was founded in 2003, we were operating solely in Indianapolis. Over the past 19 years, we’ve expanded to more than 40 cities across the country. Each local office is diverse and integral to the success of LGC. This series will look at our offices individually, highlighting what makes them unique. Meet LGC Pittsburgh.
Ah, the Steel City. Full of history, culture, and architecture – that also gives Pittsburgh its’ second nickname, “City of Bridges”. This was the first location LGC opened in the northeast, and it remained the only northeastern location until we opened the Philadelphia office 8 years later.
Since 2008, LGC has been proud to call Pittsburgh one of our home bases. Over the past 14 years, we’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best industry professionals out there and partner with great clientele. Some of the events we love working the most are with Pittsburgh’s professional sports teams! The local LGC team has helped staff all the Steelers and Pirates games as well as college football games. Not to mention the concert venues we work with that put on a great show. All in all, the event scene in Pittsburgh provides some exciting opportunities for employees who pick up shifts with LGC.
Kamiah McClellan, Staffing Coordinator for LGC Pittsburgh, had this to say about operating in this market: “Pittsburgh is unique because we are an event city, and most of our associates are eager to get involved. We’re constantly expanding our team and clients. But the best part of the market here is the clients. They will go above and beyond for a great employee and [temporary assignments] often end in permanent placement. There’s always an opportunity to start your career in this market.”
Like the rest of the country, LGC Pittsburgh was impacted by challenges due to the pandemic, particularly in the hospitality industry. Fortunately, our team has been able to work through these difficulties so we can continue to connect job seekers with the businesses that need them. We can’t wait to see what this market does in the next few years.
