Housekeeper / $13.00 / Frankfort, KY

• The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the school. This position performs routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and other school areas to support a healthy learning environment for students and staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas daily
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and polish floors
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
  • Refill restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Clean windows, walls, doors, and surfaces
  • Assist in setup and cleanup for school events and assemblies
  • Monitor and report the need for building repairs or maintenance
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper protocols
  • Lock and unlock buildings and secure facilities as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior custodial or housekeeping experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Must pass a background check and meet school district employment requirements
