In February, we had the opportunity to assist with staffing the big game (as we have in years past) for some pre-game events.
Over the last two decades, LGC has been fortunate to have our workforce at amazing events nationwide, which have often included events that are a household name. LGC Area VP, Kelsey Scott, worked tirelessly to ensure our efforts staffing the big game were a success and that we created a great staffing experience for guests and attendees. Kelsey shared her experience in Las Vegas – here’s what she had to say:
Kelsey Shares Her Experience with Staffing the Big Game
“LGC received the order for the Super Bowl on November 8th and had to turn in headshots and information for all staff working by Nov 17th for the 87 people requested! We were able to submit 135 people to NFL for them to work Superbowl on February 11th. With other events, we’re not typically tasked with having all this information confirmed and sent almost 3 months before the event, and a lot goes into this process. We’re so glad we were able to get it done and are appreciative of our employees who helped make this happen.
Both Sara (fellow LGC Area Manager) and I had to wake up at 2am to be at the Orleans Arena to grab our credentials and help our employees get their credentials. After that, employees were shuttled over and placed in the Chiefs Tailgate Party, 49ers Tailgate Party, or VIP Tailgate party for both teams.
The tailgate parties were lively and electric! There were live DJs, fun games like cornhole and giant Jenga, and different table games. Each tailgate party had different food like street corn, BBQ sandwiches, buffalo Mac ‘N Cheese, and a ton of desserts. The VIP party had lobster and steak entrees with servers coming around offering little candy boxes. The VIP party had girls in roller skates dancing around and entertainment everywhere you turned. It was like a playground for football fans.
Our employees said they had a blast and that all the Super Bowl fans that came were so friendly! Each party had over 2,000 people from different walks of life. The client was so pleased with LGC and said our people were absolute rockstars and they would use our employees time and time again.”
There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into staffing an event of this magnitude. We’re so thankful for Kelsey and her team and the 100+ employees that signed up to work the big game. We can’t wait until next year!
