Meet Brittany Hunter, Executive VP of Client Relations
In the 13 years that Brittany has been with LGC, she has dipped her toe in many different roles within LGC. Her hard work and passion for people are the defining factors that led her to the role she takes on as a part of our Executive team.
Brittany grew up in the sleepy college town of Oxford, Ohio. Before joining the LGC team, she earned her B.A. in Theatre Arts and worked as an event planner for different restaurant groups. Her charisma and organizational skills made her an incredible fit for her roles within the company.
She started as an Assistant Staffing Manager in the Cincinnati branch in March of 2011 and within 3 months was promoted to Branch Manager and then Area Manager in another 3 months. After climbing her way up the ranks, she learned an important piece of information about herself. She recalls,
“While working in the area role, I realized that my love for people and building relationships could be an asset to the company, so a brand-new path and position with a client relations focus was built upon that strength.”
This realization led her to move into the Executive VP role of Client Relations. What does that mean? Brittany explains, “my role is focused on executing special events and projects, business development, and client relationships of all scopes for the company.” Along with taking a large role in client relations, she also oversees our Charleston, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis locations.
In her Executive VP position, she feels a tremendous pride in her work and the company as a whole. She says, “the tremendous pride I feel about our LGC team and family is immeasurable. We are so lucky to have George Lessmeister at the helm and as the founder of what we do, and as a unit we continue to build upon his wonderful vision.”
George also happens to be one of the people Brittany names as someone who played a key role in helping her grow in her journey with LGC. She describes, “Without his belief in what we do, and him noticing my strengths and giving me permission to build on them to forge my own way, who knows where I would be right now and what I would be doing. I am forever grateful!”
In any career, it’s important to have people both professionally and personally that can stand by you and lift you up when you need it. For Brittany, she mentions how important her coworkers have been to her personal and professional growth.
“I love our LGC squad as I love my own family!”
In any professional climb, perfection is impossible. Any leader will tell you that mistakes are a necessary part of the process – making them helps you learn. Brittany agrees and holds a valuable piece of advice she learned along the way:
“Be true to YOURSELF! You have the ability to do that here unlike so many other companies, and the more you stand firm in your own values while upholding LGC’s, the better your results will be. Volunteer to do the traveling when you get the chance to, ask for help when you need it, and always be honest with your leadership, your clients, your candidates, and yourself along the way.”
Outside of work, Brittany absolutely adores football and is a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan! She also is an avid enjoyer of The Golden Girls from the 80s and falls asleep to it every night.
