The Importance of Community

Community is such an important part of what makes LGC who we are today. Over the past two decades, we’ve been fortunate to put up shop in more than 40 amazing communities around the country. Though Indianapolis will always be our headquarters, we’ve made a home in each of our local markets and treasure the opportunities that it’s brought LGC.

Since LGC was founded, it’s been our mission to foster a diverse workforce and inclusive work environment; whether that’s through our internal teams, external employees, or client base. We know it’s invaluable to surround yourselves with people from different walks of life which is why we take the following steps to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across LGC:

Build a workforce that accurately reflects the average American worker.

Through a blind hiring process, we’ve removed bias from hiring so we can do what needs to be done: hire the best person for the job, whoever they are. The American workforce is diverse, so ours should be too.

Fostering Diverse Views.

LGC team members come from all walks of life, with different experiences and unique points of view. When making decisions that impact their work with LGC, it’s key to involve them in the process to make sure we’re being as accommodating as possible. One way we exemplify this is when we wanted to update our mission and vision statements. We built a team that came together to rework the statements and in the end, created something great that represented LGC well. Because they have different perspectives, they each bring important knowledge to the table. This element of diversity encourages new ideas and allows us to grow.

Work within our local communities.

LGC has brick and mortar offices located in just about every major city across the country. We partner with local programs and community outreach organizations so we can hire candidates with different backgrounds, experiences, interests, and goals. We believe that no matter what, everyone deserves a great job opportunity and will continue to find ways to be inclusive with our workforce.

Giving Back

Giving back to our local communities is just a small way we can show appreciation to all the cities we’ve called home over the past twenty years. Spreading awareness, making contributions, and donating your time are all great ways to support an organization that’s important to you. There’s no such thing as too big or too small when it comes to charitable acts.
