Spooky season is here, and Halloween is just around the corner. Whether you’re a fear fanatic or are looking for a family friendly trick or treating bash, here are 5 spook-tastic ways to spend your Halloweekends leading up to the big day.

The USS Nightmare
2 decks, 30+ minutes of fearful fun, 15% jump ship – enter if you dare. If you’ve ever wondered what happens to a boat after a massacre, may all your questions be answered. In the Haunted Dredge boat tour, you get to go aboard the William S. Mitchell, which remains in the exact condition it was when the Mitchell Massacre took place. Relive the massacre through the eyes of the crew who experienced it first hand and try to find your way out.
Trick or Treat at Findlay Market
Not a fear fan? Spend your Halloween with the Cincinnati community at Findlay Market’s Trick or Treating event. Bring the kids, dress up in costume, and enjoy local eats and activities right in the heart of the city. You can go around to all the merchants, who are also in fun costumes, to fill your trick or treat bag. Don’t have a bag? There are stations to create your own! Not to mention other fun activities put on by the public library. Don’t miss the fun this year!
CaBOOret – SingOut Cincy
Are you a musical theatre enjoyer? You could spend your October 30th getting in the Halloween spirit with whimsical LGBTQ+ and ally performers. It’s the one night a year where you can be whoever you want to be, so put on your best costume and join the cozy atmosphere to celebrate the holiday.
Cincinnati Fear Fest
Do you love to scream? Step into the world of Bravado and enjoy the thrills of 3 different fear-filled parks. Explore the Darkwood Theatre, the Deadwood Lumber Mill, and All Hallow’s Terror Trail to relive the tragedies that gave each location its spooky story. If you need a break from the thrill, you can check out the hideaways and saloons along the way for craft beers and good food!
Halloween Haunt at Kings Island
Nothing is more fun than riding roller coasters in the dark, except the addition of scare mazes, live entertainment, and creatures lurking the dark waiting to give you a fright.
