One easy and free thing to do during the fall season is taking in the foliage. Leaves are changing colors and that makes for peaceful, relaxing views.

Portland, Oregon 

Portland, Oregon is home to over 600,000 people. It is the most populated city in Oregon and is known for being the most bike-friendly city in the United States. Portland offers many different state and local parks that are great for viewing its stunning fall views. There are also arboretums and botanical gardens that make it easy to see why Portland is on this fall foliage list. LGC opened its doors in Portland in February of 2016. We’ve loved every fall season in Portland and can’t wait to experience more of them. 

Nashville, Tennessee 

Nashville is the capital city of Tennessee and is home to the oldest working capital building in the country. The city is famous for its country music history and current bustling country music scene. Nashville hosts over 15 fall festivals each season. There are also numerous parks that make for great viewing of fall foliage. Kansas City, Missouri 

Located on the far western side of the state, Kansas City is home to over 500,000 residents. It’s nicknamed “The City of Fountains” for the 200 fountains that are located around the Greater Kansas City area. Some of the most popular fall attractions in Kansas City include pumpkin patches and apple orchards. With farmland surrounding the city, harvests for apples, pumpkins, and many other fall crops are quite common. Minneapolis, Minnesota

The most popular fall activity in Minneapolis is apple picking. Minneapolis is famous for its apples and the variations that were created at the University of Minnesota. Apple orchards are the perfect place to get a sense of city pride and to see gorgeous fall foliage. Seattle, Washington

Though the original city of Seattle is underground, the newer, aboveground city is just as fascinating. Seattle is known for its global impact on coffee and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
